VPN and Compression

If you have a scenario with:

RTRA----RTRB----RTRC------RTRD

with a IOS VPN Tunnel b/w RTRB and RTRC encrypting all traffic b/w RTRA and RTRD, is there any impact on performing implementing QoS solutions on RTRA or RTRD to perform Header Compression and/or Payload compression on the traffic to be encrypted?

the QoS bits are copied from the ineer IP header to the new IP header after esp encapsulation as it is, these bits are not modified by the esp.

I am not sure about what compression are you talking about, will need some more details.
