VPN - ASA WCCP Redirection

Hi,

I have a VPN site-to-site where ASA is a termination point in a branch site and I need to redirect the traffic comming from VPN to the WAE module of WAAS.

I have alredy configured the wccp 61 redirect in on the inside interface and it works fine.

The problem is that ASA don´t have the redirect out option on the inside interface and when I configured wccp 62 redirect in on the outside interface it doesn´t work, wccp doesn´t redirec the traffic coming from VPN to WAE.

I have used the example in the cisco´s documentation to configure the WAE.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/contnetw/ps5680/ps6870/prod_white_paper0900aecd806d976a_ps6474_Products_White_Paper.html

Anyone could tell me if when I use redirect in on the outside interface, traffic comming from VPN can be redirect.

When I use with a router, I configure the wccp redirect in on the tunnel interface.

Thanks.

VPN - ASA WCCP Redirection

Paulo,

WCCP redirect for the VPN traffic is not supported:

"WCCP redirect is supported only on the ingress of an interface. The only topology that the security appliance supports is when client and cache engine are behind the same interface of the security appliance and the cache engine can directly communicate with the client without going through the security appliance"

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa80/configuration/guide/dhcp.html#wp1094628

There is an enhancement request for the same . Please go through the below link
