I am trying to add a backup address to my pix for remote access vpn. The Cisco vpn client 4.8 gets the information on the backup address. But when the outside interface goes down on the pix the connection will timeout and never use the backup address.
What do you see in the logs on the vpn client? Does it try to connect to the backup address and fails due to some reason or does it not try to use the back up address at all? Does the client connect to the backup address if tried manually?
