VPN between ASA and Asterisk server

Hi Experts,

We have an Asterisk server in our enviroment. Recently we have bought an public server and installed Asterisk on this. So I need to create a VPN between these two servers for communication. In our network we have an ASA. So my plan is to make VPN between ASA and the public server. Can any one help me to implement this? [ I know using NAT this can be done but we need a other way for doing this]

Regards,

Ejaz

[no sarcastic tone implied]

Would the configuration be similar to a standard vpn tunnel for a site-to-site deployment? Does Asterisk handle anything differently than a standard vpn connection? I would imagine the data can come through vpn tunnel with no problem after you created routing policies and ACL for SIP connections on the hosted environment.

I am creating a standard site-to-site deployment for the first time, and all I needed was:

Peer External IP of firewall

Peer Internal IP/subnet range

My External IP address of firewall

My Internal IP/subnet range

I did use the ASDM on the ASA, so I cheated a bit.
