VPN Client 4.8 Logging and Set MTU

We've downloaded the 4.8 version of the client and are working on customizing before rolling out to users. We've come up with two issues

Logging on the client... We can set all of the levels to 3 and have logging enabled we still do not get any messages in the log? Have we missed a parameter? We've got a possible timeout issue we are attempting to troubleshoot.

SETMTU - Is there a way, to stop this item from showing up as an option on the start menu? Don't want to explain to users why they shouldn't use this application.

The VPN Client automatically sets a size that is optimal for your environment. However, you can also set the MTU size manually.

The VPN Client now adjusts the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) size. The Set MTU Utility option is no longer a required installation step and has been removed from the Start menu. Use Internet Explorer in order to access the Set MTU Utility option. You can also select Start > Run, choose Browse, and navigate to the Cisco Systems VPN Client directory
