VPN Client and Windows 2003

Has anyone had a positive experience with using

Cisco VPN clients on a Windows 2003 (Standard or

Enterprise) server yet?

I realise that Windows 2003 is not supported in

the most recent code, 4.0(3)F, but I am hopeful

that someone has had a success with an older

version.

Lastly, does anyone know what the first "supported"

version will be between the Cisco VPN client and

Windows 2003, and possibly the release date?

Thanks

Re: VPN Client and Windows 2003

I just want to add my voice to this, its becoming a serious issue. Does anyone know any workarounds to get the client to install on 2003 server?

Re: VPN Client and Windows 2003

I have tried install the VPN on Windows 2003, and to get it working, I need to add a static route on the windows 2003 after the tunnel is establish. e.g 192.168.123.0 mask 192.168.123.0 192.168.110.1

Re: VPN Client and Windows 2003

Just an update. . .

4.0(4) did not address this either.

I do have one site where I form a VPN tunnel to

that uses a VPN3005 from a Win2003 server and the

routes do get installed correctly.

But I do have several clients between PIX and 3005's

where I have to use a quick batch file to install the

VPN destined routes into the local table.

I would like to know why the one site works as

advertised, but many others need routes manually

installed. . .

Re: VPN Client and Windows 2003

I just encountered this problem. Windows Server 2003, the VPN client does not install a key route, but if I add it, it works. Same client and profile work fine everywhere else.

Still no fix other than a manual route addition?

BTW, the 4.6.01.0019-k9 version of VPN client actually installed with no problems on Win2k3 (unlike some earlier releases).
