I have several PIX 501 that are configured as VPN clients in network extension mode. I can successfully connect an IP Phone to the PIX and it works. My VPN head end is ASA5510.
Now users want to connect their laptops to the second port on the IP Phone and use the corporate LAN.
I am quite skeptical in allowing them to do that. The laptops have wireless connection for their home Internet use. My concern is if I allow them to connect, the laptops will act like a gateway between Internet and corporate LAN. Especially if the laptop is infected with some kind of Trojans.
Please correct me if I am wrong or let me know if it's a safe scenario to do so?
