VPN Concentrator to Cisco 1721 router, Lan-2-Lan Ipsec tunnel ?

Guys,

I have a VPN concentrator at my location, and we just opened a VERY small remote office for our Cardiology department. Here is my question...

Can i create a LAN-2-LAN IP-sec tunnel with only a Cisco 1741 router? Or would i have to have a firewall (PIX) at this location.

What are my options? HELP!

Thank you!

p.s. If this can be done, what version of IOS do i need to have on the 1721. I know some versions offer firewall/vpn options and some dont. Help! :)

Re: VPN Concentrator to Cisco 1721 router, Lan-2-Lan Ipsec tunne

The vpn concentrator will accept a tunnel to any IETF compliant device, which means that you can use PIX, Routers, Windows Machines and any other 3rd party device as long as the are standard compliant.

As for the version you would need to use at least a security version, check the feature navigator:
