VPN drops randomly? Way to configure keepalive?

Hello all,

I have a client that is having an issue with an ASA5520 to (2) PIX501's. One remote PIX has a business DSL connection that is flakey and drops the connection multiple times over the day for a very short period of time. We are aware that the DSL provider has had problems with the circuit, but they should be resolved. My question is... if there is no traffic to/from the small remote PIX, does the VPN drop? and if so is there a keepalive command to insure this will not drop?

Any comments welcome.
