we have pix 501 firewall and have lost all login and pw's

Is there a way to reset the device and start all over again.  The person who set this up is no longer with the company

and did not detail the information.  We installed a new t1 line with new IP addresses and need to set this to connect

with our remote location.  And I am not knowledgeable at all on how to configure this, although I can get help.

Linda,

Please follow these two links - One is cisco official and second is with screenshot.

For changing the IP address of ISP- Follow this.

Say that interface is outside-

Pixfireewall(config)# ip address outside 12.110.110.2 255.255.255.252

&

Need to change default gateway for basic connectivity-

pixFirewall(config)# route outside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 12.110.110.1

Field maked in bold you will get this information from ISP.

After that also lot of configuration you might have to change. Like ACL/NAT.

If not so sure then you should get someone involved else might cause outage.

Thanks

Ajay
