Hi,

Yes u can use both NM-1T3/E3 and NM-8CE1T1-PRI on 3845 Router.

Rgds,

Shijo.

Thank you for your answer, do you means i can use NM-8CE1T1-PRI  and NM1-T3/E3 cards on SAME PLATFORM 3845 router?

Would it make sense to answer for DIFFERENT routers ?!?

Yes you can use both on same router.

Cheers,

Shijo.

A great Cisco tool to help you determine card/module and Sup placements is the Configuration Tool https://apps.cisco.com/qtc/config/html/configureHomeGuest.html. You can not only get the exact product numbers for all components on the router but it also, can narrow down placement. In addition, there is a ok error generator if you placed something on the router that system is unsure of. One hold back may be legacy modules that are not listed that still may be compatible.

Keep in mind that you pull something to be quoted by your Cisco Rep, he/she may assume that you have itemized all your components and give you what you asked for. So, make sure what you pull is what you actually want and need.

Check out the power calculator tool (http://tools.cisco.com/cpc/PFN.cpc) that allows you to select a chassis and modules. In turn it will provide you pretty good power usage utilization reports and recommended power supplies. Mainly for switches 2900's,3500, 3700, 4500 6500 & 7600's. I vaguely remember using it for 7200 series, but I don't see it listed anymore.
