10gb link, how to split with 2 routers w/ BGP (1 ISP + 2 Routers help)

Basically we are upgrading to a 10gb link which will be passed from one location to the other via layer2 10gb switch uplink ports. On side A we will have 10gb handoff plug it in, then single mode fiber to other switch.

On side B, will have 10gb handoff from side A, and THEN, I need to break that up to 2 routers via 1gb links.. Thinking 2x 8gb etherchannels from the switch to each router (6500s)

Since the ISP is doing BGP with us. we need to set up BGP on Router A.

My question is:

How can i be SingleHomed to the Same ISP via one connection but use 2 Local Routers?

Both routers will already be doing BGP/iBGP each will have a diff provider on them already. But since this link is so large and I want to use the full 10gb, and will be maxing out at 8gb per etherchannel i want to use 2 routers so I can get the most out of it.

Thanks for any help in this.

Hello,

Cant you just add the "new" peer on router A?

I think a diagram would be really helpfull in this situation.

But is exactly the problem? the eBGP peer is not directly connected?

i'm sure 8gbps will be fine... of course i dont think anyone currently pushes that to the internet...

failover for you should be a ok.

ISP w/ 10GB handoff

[10gb switch2]

RA--------RB

Distribution Layer Switches

RA and RB will be connected to switch2 via 8GB etherchannel (8x 1gb links)

My question is:

the ISP will give me one peer ip, which I will put on Router A.

Is there a way to load balance the connection between router A and Router B when passing it to switch 2.

Basically dual routers to connect to 1 isp.

And yes, we can utilize the ENTIRE 10gbs.
