12.4T in a c7206VXR NPE-G1

Hello,

I need some features that only are available in a IOS 12.4T. My router is a c7200VXR with NPE-G1 (see show version).

The issue is that I don't know if there is a IOS 12.4T available for my plataform. I have found it only for NPE-G2.

Looks to me like 12.4T should be available.  See attachment.

Re: 12.4T in a c7206VXR NPE-G1

The question would be, Will it run on the G1? Thats the piece I couldn't prove.

Re: 12.4T in a c7206VXR NPE-G1

I have an NPE-G1 with 1GB of memory:

cisco 7206VXR (NPE-G1) processor (revision C) with 983040K/65536K bytes of memory.

Processor board ID 16066263

SB-1 CPU at 700MHz, Implementation 1, Rev 0.2, 512KB L2 Cache

6 slot VXR midplane, Version 2.0

It was running a 12.3 version of code:

c7200-is-mz.123-15b.bin

I loaded 12.4T onto the router:

c7200-advipservicesk9-mz.124-15.T3.bin

But the router will not load the software.  I need to check the error messages (router is remote, location now down).

I tried using the Cisco Tool (find software for my hardware platform) and when I selected NPE-G1 as a processor, it said that I had two NPEs, and then gave me the choice of choosing 7200 (all?) or 7200-NPE-G2.  I chose 7200 and it said that this version of code was okay, requiring 512M of RAM.

Any ideas on why it would crash?  The same image is running in a 7200-NPE-400, so I know it's not corrupt.

Hello,

finally I could download a 12.4T IOS and install in my device. It works fine.

Thanks
