1710 or 2851

Guys, someone suggested that I should replace existing 1710 or 1721 routers with 2851 model.

Which model you think could be a better replacement for 1700 routers; the 1841 or 2851?

If you are just looking to replace the older routers and maintain the same functionality then I would think that the 1841 is a closer match to the capability of the 1710 and 1721 routers and a more cost effective solution than the 2851. If you are looking to possibly add functionality or in some way increase the load on the routers then there might be reason to use the 2851. Though it would take some analysis of the additional requirements to determine whether the 1841 could carry the new functions or whether the 2851 would be the best choice.
