1760 with WIC-4ESW.

Can i use the WIC-4ESW on a 1760 to connect to 2 different ISP's and then use the onboard 10/100 port to connect to our LAN. Am wondering whether the 4 ports can be in four different networks in routed mode.

Much regards

Solomon

Re: 1760 with WIC-4ESW.

Here is a "4-Port Ethernet Switch Configuration Notes for the Cisco 1700 Series Routers" for your reference.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps221/prod_configuration_basics09186a00801a055a.html#wp228931

You can try the following steps to assign these ports to four different vlans and get ip to be routed between them.

1.create 3 vlan under vlan database mode. Plus the default vlan 1, now you have four vlans in the same router.

2.assign each port to each vlan by using the command:

switchport access vlan vlan-id

3.create 4 SVIs and assign ip address to them by using the following command

int vlan vlan-id

ip address x.x.x.x x.x.x.x

It looks like this module doesn't support routed port mode. otherwise it will be more convinient to configure them.

Hope this help
