1841 router web-mail & messenger access problem

Hi there,

I'm a little confused because the config look right to me but I cannot connect to the MSN messenger and also the access to webmail (hotmail, yahoo) times-out after a while.

There is no ACL or any kind of policy applied but I have the above access issue. You may check the config and suggest me any further actions.

I had a similiar problem, Im not sure this will help you, but I removed SDM and all started working.

what exactly do you mean, delete SDM from flash?

Yes I removed SDM, and just configued the router by command line.

I have had similar problems in that certain sites would work, but most would not. This seems to be typical on xDSL lines.

I found that adjusting both the MTU, and the MSS on the internal interface would resolve the problem. I'm not sure if it will help in your case, but it's worth a try.

In my cases, the following has worked:

ip mtu 1492 -> Dialer interface

ip tcp adjust-mss 1452 -> Internal interface(s)
