pls.could someone recommend me

how could I populate for instance C2821

with additional FastEthernet or Gig port? Is over there some module with only one mentioned type of port?

I know that 2821 has on board 2x Ge.

For a min. you will get a hwic with 4 switch ports on it and then configure vlans on those ports to get layer 3 functionality. Remember some features are not supported on the hwics. or else you can use a NM which will give you 16 ports for a min.

When I use HWIC with 4 ports can I connect one of

those ports to router on opposite peer.

I need to have L3 interface.

If it is not possible, why I cannot do this on 2800

and on 2600 I can, with NM-1E...?

I feel the support for the standalone Ethernet ports arent there in the new ISR series boxes instead you got to have the support for ESW(Ethernet Switching Network Modules).I would suggest you to check the link to find out the relevant modules which are supported in 2800 ISR series..
