I'm hoping someone might be able to offer me some advice. I am in the process of trying to implement a Barracuda 300 spam firewall into our existing network, but I have having a difficult time trying to get my head around how to have my existing Cisco 2801 to forward the incoming mail to the Barracuda. We have multiple retail locations that VPN to our site to access email (via a local ip address for Outlook), and other applications. Right now the router is translating the following ip addresses (these are not the actual ip addresses):
192.168.0.150 Local IP for email server
192.168.0.130 Local IP for app server
22.214.171.124 Global IP email server
126.96.36.199 Global IP App server
ip nat inside source route-map nat interface FastEthernet0/1 overload
ip nat inside source static 192.168.0.150 188.8.131.52 route-map nat
ip nat inside source static 192.168.0.130 184.108.40.206 route-map nat
I have tried editing the 2nd statement and replacing 192.168.0.150 for the address of the barracuda, which worked, but our retail locations lost their connection to our email server since I had deleted the route mapping to the server.
Can someone please offer me some advice about how to keep the existing route mapping for our retail locations to get their email, but still allow the 2801 to forward the mail to the Barracuda instead of directly to my email server?
I apologize in advance for the description of my scenarioâ¦I'm very limited in my experience with Cisco programming.
