Hi All,
Our service provider gives us 3 separate E1's. They told us to configure our router's sub serial interfaces and give us only 1 dlci number. Is this the right way of doing this? Only one dlci for the 3 separated E1 links?
Im aware of the multiple dlci's on one interface but this one, im a little bit confused.
I will much appreciate any of your help guys....
Thanks in advance cisco guru's! More power to cisco world.

Hi Chester,
How are these three E1 lines terminated on your router? Is each of them terminated on a separate physical interface? If yes then a single DLCI will work just fine because each interface maintains its own table of DLCIs and mappings so there is no ambiguosity.
Best regards,
Peter

Yes, DLCI have local meaning to the interface only so it can be reused.
