30PWS-C2960X-24PS-L Power requirements question

Hi

I was just shipped some 30PWS-C2960X-24PS-L  4 had the twist lock power cables and the remainder had the standard power cable. These switches will be used to support IP Phones and possible some Access Points using PoE.  Is the 240v really necessary?

I believe Cisco appliances can auto-regulate between 110v and 240v.

Yes, what I'm wanting to understand is when does the switch need the 240volt power? For example, Does it need the 240volt power if it needs to support PoE+ for 20+ IP phones?
