Hi to all,

ripe announced :

We are pleased to announce that from 1 January 2007 we will

accept requests for 4-byte (32-bit) AS Numbers

the question is:

have i to chenge something on my bgp router or will everything continue to work well?

Hi,

You don't need to do anything just yet - everything will continue to work just fine.

Cisco have only just released support for 4-byte AS numbers in the XR software so it'll be a while before it's generally available.
