Hi,
One of our customers having a 3660(32Mb RAM) switch & upgraded their IOS as a solution for the switch hanging problem, by them selves. In order to upgrade IOS they had to upgrade RAM to 64Mb.Unfortunately they have installed 64Mb pc memory by mistake & the switch is keep rebooting now.So we have ordered proper cisco 64Mb RAM & installed. But the problem is still existing.
What do you think is the problem. Is the system board has burnt as a result of th wrong memory(PC memory) installed?

Hello,
first of all a C3660 is a router and not a switch.
Secondly from the attached sh ver it looks like it has 128 MB of ram
>> Cisco 3660 (R527x) processor (revision 1.0) with 120832K/10240K bytes of memory.
Are you sure that the other memory chip has been removed?
Hope to help
Giuseppe

Hi ,
Thx for the reply.
It is sure that OLD memory(pc memory) has been removed.
