3750 stacking

Hi,

We have four C3750G-16TD for connected two distants sites at 10G on 2 distincts fiber link.

On each site we have two 3750 in stack mode.

We need a high availability beetween two site. We use 10G etherchannel on MAN network beetween to site.

If i loose the master switch in the stack, what's the delay and consequences (reboot, loose packet, etc.) to return to stable situation ?

Re: 3750 stacking

Within microseconds of a breakage of one part of the path, all data is switched to the active half of the bidirectional path in the stack. The switches continually monitor the stack ports for activity and correct data transmission. If error conditions cross a certain threshold, or there is insufficient electromagnetic contact of the cable with its port, the switch detecting this then sends a message to its nearest neighbor opposite from the breakage. Both switches then divert all their traffic onto the remaining good path.
