I have a pair of 4500-X running 3.5.2.E that I am configuring for deployment. I was moving some cables around and got one of the switches int dual-active recover mode. The prompt is Switch(recovery-mode)>. I am sure I can simply reload the module, but what is the recommended procedure? I can't seem to find any documentation on how to recover from this condition.

when you connect the cables back, the automatic recovery should start => the switch with Switch(recovery-mode)> should reboot. In my case the switch didnt rebooted only when there was an unsaved configuration. In this case I saved the configuration on both switches (#wr) and rebooted the switch with Switch(recovery-mode)>.
