4908 switching

We recently purchased two Cisco 7604 routers and would like to hook them up to a Cisco 4908g-L3 switch. Attached is a diagram of our desired setup. We basicly want to use the 4908 as a layer 2 switch only. The only reason why we want this type of setup is that we have only the one fiber coming in from our ISP with different vlans on it but want it to go to different routers. The problem we are having is that we can't get traffic to switch between port 1 and 3,5 of the 4908. We tried putting them in the same bridge group (from cisco documentation) but we are obviously missing something. Can the 4908 even do what we want it to do?

How is 4908 configured in this scenairo. AFAI understand we are just extending over connectivity to other site using the ISP's L2 backbone and using the dot1q tunneling.

What you have to do is just configure the port coming from the ISP side to a 802.1q trunk and configure the respective routers to a particulaer vlan.

On the other side ISP will use 802.1q tunneling to assign a dedicated vlan ID on which you both the vlans 501,201 will be carried till it exits the ISP network. On the exit interface the traffic will be segregated again as 201 and 501.
