4to6 or IPv4 over IPv6 tunnels?

Hello,

Does anyone know how to make a 4to6 tunnel?

Scenario:

IPV4 network ------ Router1 ------- IPv6 network (backbone) ------- Router2 ------IPv4 network

thanks in advanced,

Hugo

Re: 4to6 or IPv4 over IPv6 tunnels?

Hello,

here is a sample config of an IPv6 tunnel:

interface Tunnel0

ipv6 address 2002:1234:1:1212:1/64

tunnel source 150.1.1.1

tunnel destination 150.1.2.2

tunnel mode ipv6ip

interface Tunnel0

ipv6 address 2002:1234:1:1212:2/64

tunnel source 150.1.2.2

tunnel destination 150.1.1.1

tunnel mode ipv6ip

Re: 4to6 or IPv4 over IPv6 tunnels?

no,thats if you have a IPv4 backbone.....Isn't it?

I what a ipv6 backbone so that I can use legacy IPv4 devices

the tunnel source and destination can't be ipv4 but ipv6.
