The 6509 series switch is new to me. It is currently running Cisco IOS on the supervisor module and CatOs on the switching modules.
If I want to upgrade to Cisco IOS (on the switching module) the Software Upgrade advisor on Cisco.com tells me that I need to upgrade the DRAM so that the image can be supported. Can anyone tell me when the DRAM needs to be added. Is it on the MSFC or on the switching module itself.
If you could also give me some hints on resources that help me understand how a 6509 actually works that would be great.
