6509 VSS VSL link

I have 2 x 6509, each 6509 has 2 x Sup720 bundle with 10G port. Can I use 2 x Sup720 to form a

VSL link which make a VSS switch. I don't know can VSS can support redundency Sup720

Hello Jack,

VSS supports only one Sup per chassis

you need specific type of Sup for supporting VSS because the VSL exports the data plane and the signalling plane to make a single device

The Active Sup controls the linecards of both chassis.
