7206 VXR HW Questions.

Hi Guys,

I need information about 7206 VXR router.

1) Main problem is to enable ssh on routers at present hardware and IOS which is running does not support to looking for upgrade.

7206 VXR with NPE-G1 IOS 12.3 (1a).

I have few routers ruuning with npe g1 with 7200 I/O controller and few without I/O controller why controller is reuired ?

I know NPE G1 and 12.3 EOL will 12.4 support NPE-G1 ?

I appriciate if soemone can clear my doubt and suggest how to upgrade also considering merory/flash.

Yes, you have to upgrade IOS.

NPE-G1 and G2 do not require I/O controller.

If you go to software download for 7200VXR, you can see all the software images that it can run. Then mouseover on the image to check memory requirements.

However I need one more clarification on calculating Flash Memory. How exactly we do that?

Somewhere on forum I have seen

47040K bytes of ATA PCMCIA card at slot 0 (Sector size 512 bytes) = 32 MB

That is a 48MB. You can do dir and check total space.
