7206VXR NPE-G1 with 6x PA-MC-8TE1+

Hi,

Is anyone able to tell me if it's possible to have 7206VXR router with all 6 slots filled up with PA-MC-8TE1+?

I intend to connect a lot of E1 connections to my current router (7206) to serve different connections to my branches but the ports on the router are limited.

I intend to use a separate box (preferably not another 7206) to connect to all these E1 connections. Is there a Cisco product out there that can aggregate multiple E1 connections to this particular box and have FE/GE connection back to my current router?

Thanks in advance.

hi

As per the data sheet you can go upto 48 Synchronous Serial Ports on 7206VXR series.

With NPE G1 i had seen VXR boxes running with 5 PA-MC-8TE1+ modules quite few months back without any issues..

If you want to go for higher end boxes then you can watch out 7600 (either 7606 or 7609) series boxes with Flex Wan Modules..

you can check this link for the flxwan module support in 7600 and 6500 and the different kinda PA supported by them..
