Hi All,

Trying to find a comparison between an Juniper M series router and the cisco 7600 router with sup-720 3bxl.In relation to that, would like to see a link which would provide the below details.

7600 Sup-720-3bxl(1 gb DRAM,512mb flash)

Maximum bgp instances ?

Maximum BGP peers ?

Maximum OSPF instances ?

Maximum OSPF routes ?

Maximum static routes ?

Meantime between failures(Bellcore Model) ?

If you could refer to any official cisco link, which could provide the above info would be great.

Any help is really appreciated.

Maximum BGP peers ?

Maximum OSPF instances ?

Hello Anantha,

these are performance data in detail.

max bgp instance ?

1 you can have only one process but this comes from the protocol

max bgp peers ?

500 for sure, may be 1000 if not using aggressive timers.

max OSPF instances ?

32 but there is a feature for OSPF instances in VRF that goes beyond this

max OSPF routes ?

the limits are those of the protocol:

you shouldn't go over 5000-10000 routes in a single instance

max static routes ?

I don't know

Meantime between failures(Bellcore Model) ?

I don't know

Hope to help

Giuseppe
