Re: 806 Default route to DHCP

You might be using an incorrect approach.

What you want to achieve can be configured like this:

ip dhcp pool IAS

import all

origin ipcp

interface Ethernet0

description Connection to Customer network

ip address pool IAS

interface Dialer0

ip unnumbered Ethernet0

This is taken from the working config of an ADSL router. In this config, the default route is "imported" via the IAS pool. The same might be applicable to your 806.

Re: 806 Default route to DHCP

There is no need for a dialer interface because it is not PPPOE or PPPOA. This is just a stright up Bridge im connecting to and it assigns whatever interface is connected to it a dynamic IP address.

Pearcy, as per command reference, the feature has been introduced in 12.3(8)T.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
