871 Router with Multiple VLANS

Hello, I have an 871 router and would like to run multiple VLAN's for the wireless clients.

I have followed the documentation and created the following ssid and interfaces:

ssid voice

vlan 10

authentication open

authentication key-management wpa

wpa-psk ascii 7 blah

interface Dot11Radio0.10

encapsulation dot1Q 10

no ip redirects

no ip proxy-arp

no ip route-cache

no snmp trap link-status

no cdp enable

bridge-group 10

bridge-group 10 subscriber-loop-control

bridge-group 10 spanning-disabled

bridge-group 10 block-unknown-source

no bridge-group 10 source-learning

no bridge-group 10 unicast-flooding

interface Vlan10

no ip address

bridge-group 10

bridge-group 10 spanning-disabled

interface BVI10

ip address 10.2.1.129 255.255.255.128

ip access-group 100 in

no ip redirects

no ip unreachables

no ip proxy-arp

ip nat inside

ip virtual-reassembly

ip route-cache flow

ip tcp adjust-mss 1452

The connectivity is working perfectly. However, when I show int vlan 10 I see VLAN10 is up, Line protocol is down.

And when I transmit information using the wireless connection to that VLAN, the data counters seen in the show int vlan 10 command are not increasing.

Have I missed something? Thanks.

Re: 871 Router with Multiple VLANS

Hi

Can you revert back with the configs of your ethernet port ??

Have u enabled trunk on that port ?? i think though u have enabled vlan in the global config u need to attach(bind) it to physical interface which is up and running..

that you can make it by trnking the ethernet port u have over there..

Re: 871 Router with Multiple VLANS

This VLAN is wireless. The Ethernet ports, all 4 of them, are on the default VLAN (VLAN 1).
