Hi, I have an ADSL Cisco 877. Intially I have the usual problem with needing to update the firmware due to dslam inter op issues. I have applied firmware 3.010 and it now works fine. Only issues is that since swapping in the router it looks like it changing sync rate every 2 hours - which is a pain because I use dynamic dns. I used to use a 3Com which was quite stable. Do you just think this is an DSlam re training? Is there anyway I can see from my 877 whats happening. Sys log just says atm0 up/down and virtual access up/down. Seems strange it's happening every two hours during the day.

Hi again. Being running 3.0.33 for last 7 days but have had 27 activations during that time. I am running IOS Version 12.4(4)T8 which isn't an officially supported with firmware 3.0.33 I think.
The ISP says it is my router which is casuing this.

There is a newer FW, but requires download access to CCO. If you have that, is the under /cisco/access/800 via ftp.

Thanks for the reply. What verion is that - i have a cco but can't see any firmware just IOS updates?
Do you think its the router rather than the ISP? The sync rate changes each time - but only by a few 100 kbs.

Try 3-0-39. You might have a longer / marginal circuit.
