Hi, I'm looking to get an 877W for study. I noticed for the Advanced IP services it needs 28Mb of flash, mine has 24Mb running adv security. What kind of flash memory will do - does it need to be an addition or upgrade?

Which version of IOS are you running at the moment. I have just checked the Feature Navigator and both the Advanced Security & Advanced IP services require 28Mb of Flash.
When you say you have 24Mb of flash is that taking into the account the existing image ?

Hi, i'm looking to get one for my studies. I just noticed on the product QA it states 24Mb the default with the adv sec K9 image model. It takes 52Mb looking at the spec - is this just another flash chip - or something proprietary to cisco?

I'm wondering how expensive/what type of flash I need to upgrade this so I can run the adv IP and adv sec on it. I probably could squeeze it on if i remove SDM but i really need this as the CCNA now includes it.

Thanks thats brillian. Look to be about £40 in the UK for 8Mb to replace the 4Mb card.
I just wanted to check it wasn't like the standard CF card you can use in the 1800s.
I guess Advanc Sec on and 877 would probably allow me to cover most CCNA matterial.
