I am looking into purchasing an 881G for use at a remote site using the cellular card as the primary connection to the Internet. I do not want this router connecting to our company's WAN. My first goal is to be able to remotely access (RDP) a workstation that would be plugged into one of the router's switch ports. The second goal is to be able to take this router around the US for similar setups once things have been done at the first site.
Has anyone used SSL VPN on their 881G?
Has anyone gotten a static IP from their cellular carrier?
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
