Hi,

I placed Cisco 1841 router at remote site and i forgot to remove the access class 23 which permits telnet sessions only from 10.10.10.0 0.0.0.7 by default.

Can i access the router remotly by anyway or i need to visit that site ? :(

No PCs installed with the router LAN

thanks in advance

Hi there,

I think its doable, configure a loopback with an ip in that range 10.10.10.0/29 (and insure appropriate routing for this ip to reach your router, hoping that your router has a default route or something pointing it back), and use this command:

telnet /source-interface loopback x

HTH, please rate if it does,

Mohammed Mahmoud.

Hi there,

Sorry to say that but i don't think that there is any solution except trying by any mean to connect to the router via an ip in this range.

HTH,

Mohammed Mahmoud.

Hi There,

To access remotely we need to remove access-class 23 in under VTY or not.

In my configuration under vty avalable below cammand.

Line vty 5 15

The only way would be to access the router from a station with an IP address in the range 10.10.10.0/248.

Hope this helps,

Thanks, if Extended telnet is available like the extended PING i can create a loopback interface and initiate an extended telnet session.

I think i can create a new VLAN at my core switch with this subnet 10.10.10.0/29, right?

Thanks
