Active/Active and Active/Passive Distance

Hi, 

I have got my sever in two location. They are in location between the distance of about 2 KM. I have got a fiber connectivity between these two location. I want to get the HA environment on ASA 5515. How can I maintain the active/active or active/passive if the distance is 2 KM ? Can I get the HA environment or not ?

Hi,

The distance does not matter for HA, as long as you have the right Fiber optic interfaces to connect the 2 ASAs together.  For distance of 2 KM, you need to use single mode fiber with single mode SFPs.
