Appendix C: Noise Immunity NMdiff

I have a question on the formula used for NMdiff in appendix C. When I run through the math I get 212mV not 316mV. The result is 316mV prior to subtracting the Vid_min of 150mV. My question is what is the NMdiff value 316mV or 212mV?

Secondly if the NMdiff is 212mV or 316mV how can this be since the minimum differential input voltage Vid_min is 150mV? The noise margin is greater than the signal level (150mV)
