Re: AS5300 IOS UPGRADING PROBLEM (XMODEM)

It appears that the file size is larger than your flash memory.

One option is to to just download the image to DRAM so that the router at least boots up. To do that, enter in: 'xmodem -r'

This will not solve your problem in the longer term: you will need to choose a smaller image or upgrade your flash.

Hope that helps - pls rate the post if it does.

Hi,

I have tried but result is

rommon 1 > xmodem -r

xmodem: illegal option -- r

usage: xmodem [-cy]

-c CRC-16

-y ymodem-batch protocol

Re: AS5300 IOS UPGRADING PROBLEM (XMODEM)

Hi,

You can try using xmodem,

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps259/products_tech_note09186a008015bfac.shtml

if there is any problem try to boot the ios externaly,

by boot xmodem: command

after that try to transfer the ios to flash using tftp or copy xmodem from the priveledge prompt,

Hope this helps you,
