ASA not allowing SSH sessions. Thinks max sessions already in use.

Hey there. In trying to SSH into an ASA that has SSH enabled for all IPs on the outside interface, I get an immediate error on the client side stating "Server Unexpectedly Closed Connection".

On the ASA log I get this:

5 Oct 03 2008 15:39:54 321001 Resource 'ssh' limit of 5 reached for context 'single_vf'

There are no active SSH sessions according to ASDM. Also, clearing SSH sessions via CLI does nothing.

Anybody have any ideas? Thanks.

If the outside interface is facing internet, try filtering the IP Address allowed to connect to ASA thru SSH. Chances are, your ASA is under attack, they just not able to find out the correct username and password - for now.
