ASR ICMP Debug

What steps are required to enable ICMP debugs on ASR XE platform.  Debug ip icmp does not work, and i believe requires a few new platform commands to with control plane and rp.

This is not possible on ASR, you have to use "debug ip packet" with access-list to see the packets,a bug was filed for it but was later junked as development didnt add debug ip icmp when debug ip packet does the job and shows both echo request and echo reply...

I've seen work with some platform commands, not debug ip *, just can't remember sequence.
