Assigning Privilege Levels

Hi Everybody,

I am trying to assign privilege level 6 to my support staff, so that he can see the following output

1. config t

2. interface ser 0/0

privilege configure level 6 interface

privilege exec level 6 configure terminal

But, the support user is able to see other few commands also which i donot want him to do. The other commands visible to him is below

call

default

dss

end

exit

help

interface

no

defaults

oer

I want to remove this commands from display for this user. I tried "no privilege". But it is not working.

How to achieve this. Please help

Re: Assigning Privilege Levels

RBK,

Those commands default to priv level 0 (with the exception of interface since you've added to priv level 6).

To move them away from priv level 0, you need to assign them to priv level 7 - this way priv level 6 won't be able to see them.
