ATM IMA Group T1 ADD

I am not experienced at adding an additional T1 to an existing ima group.

This is the 4th of 4 T1s. The basic interface is already configured.

I believe I need to add the atm1/3 interface to the imagroup? This will make the bandwidth 6M rather than the 4.5M. All of the DLCI/VP/VCI configs are staying the same since this is only an upgrade.

Easist way is to clone the ATM1/2 configuration onto ATM1/3.

The important part of the config will be:

interface atm1/3

ima-group

You may also have to change your traffic shaping settings under your ATM VC's, if you're using CBR or VBR.

For instance:

interface atm0/ima0.1

pvc 0/32

vbr-nrt 4500 4500

will become:

interface atm0/ima0.1

pvc 0/32

vbr-nrt 6000 6000
