We are installing a new E3 unframed circuit 34Mb, and trying to use existing PA-A3-E3 ATM cards.
Since there is no longer an ATM switch, is there anything we need to do to account for this?
Below is the configuration, which has been used but is unsucessful.
Both routers are 7204VXR's running 12.2(28).
Router#1
interface ATM1/0
no ip address
ip route-cache flow
no atm ilmi-keepalive
e3-scramble
!
interface ATM1/0.99 point-to-point
bandwidth 34000
ip address 10.155.211.129 255.255.255.252
pvc 0/99
encapsulation aal5snap
Router #2
interface ATM1/0
no ip address
ip route-cache flow
no atm ilmi-keepalive
e3-scramble
!
interface ATM1/0.99 point-to-point
bandwidth 34000
ip address 10.155.211.130 255.255.255.252
pvc 0/99
encapsulation aal5snap
Thanks

Hello,
what is the error codition? Output of "show interface"?

ATM 1/0 is down no traffic at all, both sides.
There is a fault light indicator light on both sides.
on the respective ATM cards. CD is light green.
from show controllers: Facility ALarm: AIS.
The circuit has been checked by Telco and its apparently fine.
Is each router expecting a repsone from an ATM switch, thus raising the AIS?
Thanks
Heres the output from debug

How did you configure clocking?
AIS is usually present in a framed line. It tells, that this interface is OK, but the other end (connected device) is having a problem. The reason can be f.e. LOS, LOF and the like.
So you would need to check the other end. Once you figure that the AIS is from the provider equipment (if both routers are reporting AIS) he needs to check this again.

WAN circuit is unframed.
Used atm clocking internal under both ATM 1/0 cards
