Auto failover, load sharing and redundancy on 1841 router WAN Link

Dear Friend,

i have two cisco router 1841 & i have two links from diffrenet provider. One link is 100 Mbps & second link is 50 Mbps

1.One link is directly terminated from one location to another & second link is thru provider where in case provider service failure we are not able to access another location & my link always shows up.

2.I need to have auto failover, load sharing and redundancy on WAN Link.

How to go ahead.

Regards,

Moorthy

I'm sorry, I can't picture the connections. Will you be able to provide a diagram to show the connectivities?

Re: Auto failover, load sharing and redundancy on 1841 router WA

I Have one router with two links

1) one link 100 mbps & it will route thru diffrent device & link will be always up due to mutliple path thru Mpls network.

2) second link is 50 mbps it is also thru mpls links.

In case any problem in mpls network it will send packets to that link instead making that link down.

now i need to build auto failover, load sharing and redundancy on 1841 WAN Link

Please suggest

If the two links starts in RouterA and terminates at RouterB through multiple path MPLS, use IP GRE Tunnel for auto-failover/redundancy. For load sharing, you can choose any routing protocol (i.e. OSPF)

In case if link fails in MPLS network my packets still traverve in that path.on unvenen path how i will make sure loadbalancing is happenneing.
