Hi,

I have couple of back to back serial interface cables for connection between two Routers. When I tried for two routers for the below said configuration the line protocol is fluctuation intermittently. Please let me know any additional configuration has to be done.

DCE end

interface s0

ip add 192.168.10.1 255.255.255.0

clock rate 64000

DTE end

ip add 192.168.10.2 255.255.255.0

Regards

I think you don't need to config clock rate 64000, default will add it.

Hi,

I tried this option not working.

Hi,

The Clock rate is needed if there is no Source Of Clocking.

Since the Serial interface is Asyncronous, it does need a source of clocking, this Source can be provided by CSU/DSU unit or manually configured for a back to back connection.

Your config should be OK.
