I'm having the hardest time trying to do something so simple. I'm connecting two routers (1721 and 2621) together with DCE and DTE cables connected to each other.

What commands do I use to get them to talk? I've got 'Interface UP, Protocol DOWN' on both of them...

Please help!

Hi,

On the router to which the DCE cable is connected, issue the following command under the serial interface:

'clock rate '

Choose a bit-rate applicable to your setup.
