Hi ,

Can anyone advise what would be the bst way to configure an internet backup link a)Using dynamic roting b)without using dynamic routing.

primary link bandwidth is 25M on fiber

seconday link is on wirelesss -2 mb

seconday link ned to be activate only when primary fails. No load sharing required .just failove will do

Both Links are ethernet interface.

You have already asked this question and Ganesh has answered so why are you posting a duplicate post ?

Re: Backup Internet connection

Vicky,

Just some comments...

If you have static routes out both ISPs, then there's no need for a dynamic routing protocol.

You can have all traffic going out the primary link and via IP SLA with tracking have the secondary link as a backup.

There's no need for dynamic routing protocols unless you want to.

Normally if you want to use dynamic routing with ISP will be using BGP.

Federico.
