backup line between HQ and branch office

Hi,

Please reference attachment. the requirement of my customer is :

1. all traffic between branch office and HQ via Lease Line if Lease Line is up

2. If Lease Line is down, all traffic between branch office and HQ via ADSL.

3. If both Lease Line & ADSL down, all traffic between branch office and HQ via IDSN dialup line.

Can you give me some idea?

Best Regards,

Re: backup line between HQ and branch office

Dear ,

On each branch office

ip route x.x.x.x 255.255.255.0 serial0 --> Leased Ln

ip route x.x.x.x 255.255.255.0 atm0/0 100 Adsl Interface

ip route x.x.x.x 255.255.255.0 10.1.1.1 150

When 10.1.1.1 is the dialer ip address that you expecting to used when the intersting traffic get you ISDN line up.

Re: backup line between HQ and branch office

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, but the ADSL interface is not at the router, it have an external ADSL ATU-R connected to router LAN interface.

If ADSL ATU-R support dynamic routing, maybe we can use dynamic route with high distance static route via ISDN to solve the problem. But if ADSL ATU-R can not support dynamic routing, is there any other good idea?

Best Regards,
